Gary Baran, professor of philosophy, musician, and longtime student and teacher of Nonviolent Communication, passed away on January 1, 2024. Gary worked closely with NVC founder Marshall Rosenberg, and was the director of CNVC, the Center for Nonviolent Communication. He was active in ORNCC since its founding. In appreciation for his leadership and dedication, we hope to honor his vision as we go forward. The following is from Gary’s Bio, previously posted:
"I envision a world in which the needs of all people are honored, in which the abundant resources of our planet are both respected and also flow freely so as to reliably meet those needs, and in which people resolve their conflicts peacefully. I strive to live in harmony with the principles of NVC and to offer NVC training to the public and to those organizations and institutions that resonate with those principles."
