Update About the Future of ORNCC

Early in September the ORNCC Board of Directors sent a message to the network about the possibility of discontinuing our organization. Most of the responses we received to this message indicated a preference that ORNCC continue. Some of those who responded offered to help support the organization financially or in other ways. We’d like you to know that although a couple members of the board will be leaving the board at the end of this year, several members will be continuing and there are no plans for ending the organization in the foreseeable future.

The board would, however, like to make ORNCC more relevant to those who are eager to learn and share Nonviolent Communication in our region and we are seeking input about how we can best do that. One idea that is currently of interest to us is improving the website, a project that we expect will take some time and funding. The first step in this process is to have a clear idea about what features an improved website would have. If you have ideas about that, or can point us to examples of websites that we might use as a model, please let us know by sending an email to Board President, Gary Baran.

We are also interested in adding new members to our board. As indicated on the website people can nominate themselves for this role and we hope some of you will do so.
