Communicating with Compassion


Are you looking for ways of communicating more compassionately with yourself and others? In this six-week class series, we will practice ways of listening, speaking, and thinking that contribute to understanding and connection using a variety of activities and reflective conversations. No previous experience with Nonviolent Communication necessary. Open to adults and teenagers (ages 14+).

Josh offers classes in Nonviolent Communication through the City of Eugene Recreation Services, where he also works as a challenge course facilitator / outdoor program instructor. He first read Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life in 2005 and attended an International Intensive Training in New Mexico with Marshall Rosenberg and CNVC Trainers Rodger Sorrows and John Kinyon in 2008. Josh has also participated in classes and workshops taught by CNVC Trainers LaShelle Lowe-Charde and Robert Gonzales.

Additionally, Josh has regularly practiced sitting meditation for the last ten years and has an interest in healthy masculinity.
