Ongo Group: Mindfulness and Compassionate Communication

Eugene
Facilitator/Host:
Josh Mann

This will be a 12-week mindfulness and compassionate communication practice group using Catherine Cadden's and Jesse Wiens's recently published The Ongo Book: Everyday Nonviolence, which contains twelve week's worth of "daily practices in Mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication, and more, for individuals, couples, and groups." Both Catherine and Jesse are certified trainers with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC). Jesse also lived and trained in American Zen monasteries, including the San Francisco Zen Center, for seven years.

The goal of the group is to help each individual develop greater compassion for themselves and others. This includes increasing their fluency with components of Marshall Rosenberg's process of Nonviolent Communication as well as their ability to recognize physical sensations and emotional states in the present moment.

Please contact Josh by September 18th if you're interested in participating.
