How many Oregonians and Southwest Washingtonians will be introduced to, learn about and practice Nonviolent/Compassionate Communication this year?
We are excited thinking about the answer to that question because we are finding there are many more people involved with NVC than we had imagined.
We have started compiling a list of trainers, facilitators, counselors, practice group leaders and others who are sharing NVC in Oregon and Southwest Washington. We are going to reach out to as many of them as possible and take a census of the number of people who are learning and practicing these skills in 2017.
There are hundreds of people in prisons, churches, schools and other organizations learning and practicing NVC. There are intentional communities in Central Oregon and in the Willamette Valley that have trained in and practice NVC skills for community communication. There are many counselors whose work with clients emphasizes NVC. That’s just the tip of the NVC iceberg when it comes to what’s happening here.
We have begun compiling a master list of individuals and organizations and descriptions of their offerings in an effort to get a census number, and we are already amazed and uplifted at what we are finding.
Will you help us?
We would like the following information in the form below, sent to the census coordinator Bryn Hazell.
Count yourself and let others know so they too can be counted. This will be an on-going effort as we move through 2017. New information will be added to our census as the months pass, and we will do our best to issue as complete and as accurate a census as we can in the first quarter of 2018.
If you want to help with the census, please email Bryn. We would love the collaboration!!!!!
